When you order your ER-6i Custom earphones you'll receive a pair of Etymotic Research ER-6i's that are ready to use and a voucher for the customisation process that will give your audiologist and ACS all the information they need to customise your earphones.

The first step is to find an audiologist to take an impression of your ear from which your custom moulds can be made. A comprehensive list of all of our audiologist partners is available on our 'Find an Audiologist' page so you should be able to find one local to you. Once you have made an appointment to visit, take your voucher along, choose which colour moulds you'd like and the audiologist will take your impressions to send to ACS. The whole impression process will take up to 30 minutes.

Your impressions will then be sent to ACS who will produce your custom moulds in your choice of colour. Your custom moulds will be hand made by an ACS technician and the process may take up to 14 days, as soon as they're ready ACS will send them straight to you.

When you receive your custom fit moulds, you can easily fit them to your earphones yourself. Simply remove the existing eartip that you have been using, being careful to keep the filter in place, and press the ER-6i earpiece into your mould. With a little twist your custom-fitted earphones will be in place and you can start enjoying the most incredible listening experience. With a little practice, putting your custom earphones in and taking them out will be simplicity itself.
